ilmlink uses cookies and similar storage so the site can sign you in, remember a quiz in progress, and understand which pages are useful.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Some are required for login to work. Others help us see which pages are used. Similar tools — such as browser local storage — are not cookies, but they serve a similar job, so they are listed here too.

How we use them

Essential cookies run accounts, security, and returning you to the right page after sign-in. The site cannot stay logged in without them.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) help us see traffic and which pages people open. They are not used to sell ads on ilmlink.
We do not run advertising or social-media tracking pixels on this site.

Exact cookie names can vary slightly by browser and whether the site is served over HTTPS.

Similar storage

Browser local storage (illmlink.quiz.v1) — quiz answers and progress on this device, including for guests. Clearing site data in your browser removes it. Creating an account can also save a run to the server.
Session storage (illmlink.unlockResults) — a short flag so we know to show your results after you sign up. It goes away when you close the tab.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 on ilmlink pages. Google may set cookies such as _ga and process usage data under Google’s privacy policy and cookie terms. You can also use Google’s browser opt-out if you do not want Analytics in that browser.

How to control cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in settings. Blocking all cookies will stop sign-in from working. Blocking only analytics cookies (or using the Google opt-out) still lets you use the quiz and an account.

You can also use private browsing, which typically drops cookies when the window closes. Guest quiz progress may not survive that.
