Who we are

ilmlink is a career quiz for Pakistani students, introduced by Times Consultant and designed and operated by Times TX. This policy covers the ilmlink website and student tools on it.

Questions about your data: use the contact form. Pick “Account & login” if it is about your profile.

What we collect

What we hold depends on how you use the site.

• Visitors. Pages you open, device and browser details, and approximate location from your IP — mainly through Google Analytics, as described in the cookie policy.
• Quiz. Your answers, progress, and Holland / RIASEC results. Guests stay in your browser until you create an account. Signed-in students are saved to your account so you can come back to them.
• Account. Email, password (stored as a hash, not plain text), and sign-in times. Google and Apple sign-in may be offered later; if you use them we receive the name and email the provider shares.
• Profile. Name, photo, bio, phone, city, university, education level, field of study, graduation year, interests, career interests, and notification choices. Bio and interests are public on your student profile. The rest stays in your account unless you post it yourself.
• Community. Posts, comments, votes, and the name and photo shown next to them.
• Messages. Name, email, optional phone, topic, and message when you write through Contact.
• Safety. Limited technical signals (such as hashed identifiers) to slow spam, abuse, and automated sign-ups.

How we use it

• Run the quiz, show your results, and keep your account working.
• Show public profile details you chose to share, and community posts you publish.
• Send security email (verify address, reset password, confirm an email change).
• Send product, quiz, community, or reading notifications only if you left those options on in settings.
• Reply to contact messages and keep the community usable.
• Understand how the site is used so we can fix problems and improve it.
• Protect the service against spam, scraping, and abuse.

Who we share it with

We do not sell student lists. We share information only as needed to run ilmlink:

• Times Consultant and Times TX staff who operate the product, support, or (for authorised admins) student records.
• Google Analytics, for site usage. See the cookie policy and Google’s privacy policy.
• Email delivery (when configured) to send verification and password emails.
• Sign-in providers, if you choose Google or Apple when that option is available.
• Anyone you make something public to — community posts and your public profile (name, photo, bio, interests).
• If the law requires it, or to protect students and the service.

What other people can see

Community posts, comments, and votes are visible to visitors, including people who are not signed in. Your public student profile shows your name, photo, bio, and interests — not your phone, city, university, or posts.

Do not publish anything you would not want a parent, teacher, or admissions office to read.

How long we keep it

Account, quiz, and community data stay while your account is active. Contact messages stay so the team can reply and keep a record of support. Analytics is kept according to Google’s settings for the property.

Deleting your account in settings deactivates it and signs you out. Some records (for example posts you already published, or security logs) may remain until we can process a further request. Write to us through Contact if you need that handled.

Your choices

• Update or clear most profile fields in Account settings.
• Turn notification types on or off in the same settings page.
• Edit or delete your own community posts and comments, within the tools we provide.
• Delete your account from settings (you will need your password and to type DELETE).
• Ask a question about your data via Contact.
• Block analytics cookies in your browser, as described in the cookie policy.

Students and age

ilmlink is built for students exploring study and careers, including older school students and university students in Pakistan. It is not meant for young children. If you believe we have an account for a child who should not have one, contact us and we will look into it.

Where it is processed

Times Consultant is based in Pakistan. Times TX is based in Hamburg. Hosting, analytics, and email providers may process data in other countries. If you use ilmlink, your information may move between those places so the product can run.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top of the page is the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here; keep using the site after an update means you have seen the new version.
